About Liza

My Story

In 2004 I was suffering from tension headaches and migraine. My back was also giving me trouble as I was working as an IT professional and sat at a desk all day.

I turned to Alexander lessons to see if they could help. My backache stopped completely soon after I started lessons. And although I do still get migraines, it is very rare.

However there were other unexpected advantages. As my posture changed to a more open and confident stance I noticed other people began responding to me in a more positive way. I felt calmer. The technique taught me that I had a choice in how I wanted to react in situations. I learned to reject knee jerk responses and instead began to work in a more considered, relaxed and productive way.

I loved the Alexander Technique and the difference it made in my life. So much so that I decided to train as an Alexander Technique Teacher and have never looked back!
